‘Cornerblock’ is a classic 1980s office development. Perhaps a less-sexy building to save than the usual factories, 1960s and heritage buildings with covetable features. Yet that was the choice made by Bruntwood Group with Howells advising them on design. Saving the skeleton and rewrapping the building to bring new life and contemporary design to a tired office in the heart of Birmingham’s business district.

Completed five years ago the building has been updated into a flexible and efficient workplace with a variety of spaces for different tenants and the M&E, tech and amenities expected by a modern tenant whilst also increasing the original floor space to add value.

Join the tour led by Rob Valentine, Birmingham Regional Director, Bruntwood Group and Sandeep Shambi, Partner at Howells, to hear why they chose to retain the building and how they went about bringing it to market for a new audience.
